How to start?

Hello, Welcome to Eurobattle.net - European Warcraft III PvPGN Server. This page contains a short overview of how to start playing here. Install Warcraft III Unfortunately we are unable to provide direct game links at this time, you can: 1. Buy original CDs and patch to 1.28.5 2. Ask a friend 3. With "Download" button inside the client in "Warcraft" tab. Button will turn green and you need to wait for it to finish the download. You can click on the button again to cancel the download. Download is resumable. Only one version can be downloaded at a time. Files are stored in %appdata% directory. A dialog window will take you there on download completion. Install Eurobattle.net Eurobattle.net provides its services to all users, no matter if they have a licensed copy of the game or not. If you don't have the license keys, Eurobattle.net Client will provide you with temporary ones which will let you connect to our servers. 1) Make sure that you have Warcraft III 1.28.5 or 1.26a installed on your computer. 2) Download and install Visual C++ Redistributable 2013 and Visual C++ Redistributable 2015 x86 here or from the official Microsoft site unless you have them already. These frameworks are required in order to be able to use our Client. 3) Download the newest Eurobattle.net installer 4) Unzip the installer and launch it. 5) Progress through the installation, make sure to select the desired Warcraft III path and the path you want the Client to be installed to: Note that the path MUST contain only English characters. 6) After the installation has been successfully completed, the Client's shortcut will appear on your desktop: 7) Launch the Client and wait patiently until it patches your game (if necessary). You might be asked to confirm the installation of patches (their size varies from ~50 MB to ~950 MB). 8) Lastly, add Eurobattle.net/gproxy.exe and Warcraft III/w3l.exe to the whitelist in your antivirus (especially Avast is notorious for removing the files silently). In case you aren't able to connect to our servers or are experiencing other problems, check our Troubleshooting Section before posting in the Technical Support Board on forum. Create a server account Server accounts can only be created using a special form on our forum. Follow these simple steps in order to create an account: 1) Go to the account creation page 2) Type in your email and complete the Captcha. Note: Disposable emails are NOT allowed. If you have a legitimate email and it still doesn't let you register, please contact us on forum and we will add it to the whitelist. 3) Check your mailbox, you should have received a confirmation email. click on the confirmation link and it will take you to the account creation form. 4) Type in the desired nickname and password. You should now be able to login on server using the in-game form. How to play ladder games Ladder matches are the basic games in Warcraft III, also known as "melee", "standard" and "PG" games. You play for one of the four races (Alliance, Night elves, Orcs or Undead) and your goal is to build your base and army as soon as possible and eliminate enemy players. Ladder games have their own ladder. Requirements To be able to play ladder Warcraft III games it is required to forward 6112, 6113 ports on your router. Since there is no external host one of the players taking part in the match must have his ports forwarded. He will then be the host for that game. If neither of the players can take the role of the host, all players will be disconnected from the game. Searching for the game 1) After logging in on server, click on the "Play Game" button 2) Select the game type of the game you want to find (1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, FFA). Click on the "Thumb Up" buttons to remove the maps you don't like from the map pool. Once you are ready, press "Play Game". 3) Wait until your game is arranged (may take a while) You can also start searching for the game directly from the main menu by pressing the "Quick Play Game" button. The previously selected game settings will apply. How to play custom games Custom games are all games which aren't played through the "Play Game" and "Quick Play Game" options. They also don't affect the melee ladder. There are thousands of different custom games - DotA, DotA LoD, Castle Fight, X-Hero Siege, Uther Party, Sunken City, Madballs, Invoker Wars, Pudge Wars, Green TD, Middle Earth Risk, Archer Wars and many, many other. 1) After logging in, click on the "Custom Game" button. 2) Select the game you want to join from the list or type its name in the text box. 3) DotA games are also custom games and can be joined the same way How to host games on your computer Requirements To be able host Warcraft III games on your PC it is required to forward 6112, 6113 ports on your router. This is needed in order to allow the other players to connect to your computer and take part in your game. Creating game Coming soon... How to host games on bots Hosting with public bots You can use public hosting bots to create games for you. To use them enter the respective channel or directly whisper the bot using /w command. Lagabuse.com /join la or /join lagabuse.com How to host using lagabuse bot EuroBR.Guard /join br or /join Brasil http://eurobattle.net/forums/840-Brasil Hosting on your computer using GHost You may want to run a special bot which will make hosting easier for you. Since your PC will still be used as the host, portforwarding is required. Check the GHost section for detailed tutorials about using the GHost/GHost++ bots.

Improve your FPS

You are experiencing lags and shuttering? It might be a FPS problem then, you can check it by typing "/fps" in game. This is what you can do to increase it. Update Video Card Drivers Make sure that your video card drivers are up to date. Driver developers are constantly optimizing their products and newer drivers may provide a better performance. Change Ingame Video Settings You also may want to adjust your Warcraft III video settings in order to increase your ingame FPS. Open them by launching your game and going to "Options" -> "Video" from the main menu. Setting a lower Resolution may greatly improve the performance but it also may make it harder and unusual to play the game. It is recommended to start by disabling Shadows and lowering Ligths and Particles quality. Test different setups to find out which one delivers a decent amount of FPS and doesn't obstruct your gameplay. Switch Rendering Mode You may try switching the rendering mode too. Warcraft III runs using the DirectX technology by default, however, you may switch it to OpenGL which will slightly improve the performance. To do that, tick the OpenGL box in Eurobattle.net Client and restart your game. Your game will be launched with the "-opengl" parameter from now on. Manually remove FPS restriction Go to registry (Run>regedit.exe) Then go to this path (image below) : HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\Warcraft III\Video and change Lockfb to 0 Setting "maxfps" to a number equal to your monitor refresh rate also supposedly makes gameplay smoother.

Hosting Under Firewall Windows XP

First you must have Warcaft with PVPGN patch installed. Then: 1. Go to > My Computer -> Control Panel 2. On Control Panel open Windows Firewall Block All Incoming Connections should NOT be ticked, or else you can't host. 3. You must have Windows Firewall set to ON. 4. Then press Add Port and select: a) Port Name - at your own preference b) Port Number: 6112 c) Port Type: TCP The next step is doing the same thing, again, but at choice c), select UDP instead of TCP ( you must have both ports forwarded ) You also have to add euroloadder.exe and war3.exe to the program exception list. Click on Add Program , Find euroloader.exe in your warcraft folder and add it to the exception list. Click on Add Program , Find war3.exe in your warcraft folder and add it to the exception list. Now, you're ready to host games on Eurobattle.net! Good luck!

Portforwarding Router Tutorial

=What is port forwarding and why do you need it?= Port forwarding (sometimes referred to as tunneling or virtual servers) is the act of forwarding a network port from one network node to another. Port forwarding allows remote computers (e.g. public machines on the Internet) to connect to a specific computer within a private LAN. So in order to host a game online, you must allow public computers on the internet to connect to your computer. If you don't port forward, all incoming connections to your PC will be refused and thus no one will be able to join your game. It is required to have forwarded ports in the following types of games: Melee (standard, PG) games require at least one of the players to have his ports forwarded in order to use his computer as host for the game. If neither of the players can be the host, the game will be cancelled and everyone will be disconnected. Manually hosted games (with Create Game), only on your computer, since it will be used as the host for the game. Games created with the Ghost/Ghost++/etc bots, only on the computer where the bot is running. Solution 1 (recommended) Ports which have to be forwarded: TCP 6112-6119 UDP 6112-6119 1) Go to https://portforward.com/router.htm 2) Select your router brand from the list 3) Skip advertisement by clicking "Close" 4) Select the model of your router 5) Follow simple steps for your router model to forward the needed ports 6) You should now be able to use your pc as host for warcraft 3 games Solution 2 Paradyne router D-Link router Speedtouch router (In case solution 1 did not work, this solution contains common steps that can be used by everyone) Hello and welcome to our port forwarding guide. 1) Requirements Open cmd.exe (Start > All programs > Accessories > Command Prompt) Type ipconfig, notice the Default Gateway. NOTE: Enter Warcraft > Options > Game Play Check your Game Port, it should be 6112 on Normal Gateway and 6113 on GProxy Gateway. 2) Configuration Open your web browser, type the IP you just saw, for example, in my case I have to type http://192.168.1.254 You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your password now. By default your username and password are admin. You can find your router's username and password in your router's manual. Click the Log in button to log in to your router. Ok, Now you must search for "Port Forward", "Virtual Server" or "Game & Application Sharing". They are usually located in the advanced settings of your router. Make sure to forward both 6112 and 6113 (it is recommended to forward 6114-6119 as well). Some routers have Warcraft 3 in their database, so all you have to do is add the Warcraft 3 to the Applied Rules. If you don't have it, create a new application with the following settings: Protocol: Any Port Range: 6112-6113 Translate To: 6112-6113 Or if you don't have "Any" as a protocol type. Protocol: TCP Port: 6112-6113 Translate To: 6112-6113 Protocol: UDP Port: 6112-6113 Translate To: 6112-6113 For port forwarding and port opening it is NOT required to have a range from 6114 to 6119 opened. However, it may be useful if you are planning to host multiply games at once on your PC. 3) Get information about your router Visit http://www.portforward.com/routers.htm Search for your router's brand and exact model. Follow the instructions that are specifically made for your router in order to port forward.

Static Internal IP Router Tutorial

A -VERY- important part of setting up a Static IP address on your computer is CHOOSING an appropriate number to assign to the computer as its permanent, “static” IP address. There’s more to it than just picking any old number at random, and the number your computer has been using up until now may NOT be an appropriate choice. This is because some routers may have trouble forwarding ports to IP addresses which conflict with their DHCP server address range. That is, if the IP address on the computer is the same as one which the DHCP server might assign, the Port Forwarding may FAIL. So the FIRST step in setting up a Static IP address is to find out what range the DHCP server is set up for, and choosing a number that will NOT conflict with that range. Log into your router and look for a page that tells what the DHCP Server configuration is. This is usually found under “Advanced Configuration” and then “LAN” (or similar wording). Once you’ve found the DHCP Server page there should be one of two different ways of displaying the RANGE of addresses in the server. The first is the simplest. It gives the “Starting Address” and the “Ending Address” (or “Low” and “High”) Thus for example if you see: Starting Address 192.168.0.100 Ending Address 192.168.0.150 The “Range” of the DHCP server is FROM 192.168.0.100 TO 192.168.0.150 The second way the DHCP Server range can be displayed is to give the “Starting Address” and the “Number of Clients” (or “Number of Addresses”) Thus for example if you see: Starting Address : 192.168.0.10 Number of Clients: 50 The “Range” of the DHCP server is FROM 192.168.0.10 TO 192.168.0.60 (50 addresses, starting at 10) You must choose a number from 2 through 254 which does NOT fall within the DHCP server range, and which does NOT duplicate the address already being used by the router (the IP address you type to log into the router).. So in the first example you would be safe choosing a Static IP Address for your computer of 192.168.0.151 And in the second example you could safely choose 192.168.0.61, because these numbers are OUTSIDE of the DHCP Server range. NOTE- This is important! The "Range" of the DHCP server is INCLUSIVE. That means when we say (just for example, your router will probably be different) : Start address 192.168.0.100 End address 192.168.0.150 It means you CAN'T USE .100 OR .150 OR ANY of the numbers between them. In most cases, all you’ll need to do is check the “range” of the DHCP server and pick a safe IP address outside that range for your computer. BUT- there IS one situation which will require you to make a change to the ROUTER setup BEFORE you can go on. If you discover the DHCP server is set to use ALL possible IP addresses, then that leaves NO safe addresses for YOU to use. Starting Address 192.168.0.2 Ending Address 192.168.0.254 <-- This leaves NO addresses free for YOU to use. If the DHCP server is set to use the entire range, from .2 through .254 then you will have to CHANGE the higher figure to something lower in order to free up some addresses that will be safe for YOU to use. On the DHCP server page, CHANGE the “Ending Address” from .254 to something like .200 Starting Address 192.168.0.2 Ending Address 192.168.0.200 <-- This leaves 54 addresses free for YOU to choose. That will make the “range” of the DHCP server from .2 through 200 then you can choose any address higher than .200, in this example, 192.168.0.205 Click the “Apply” or “OK” button, then if necessary, REBOOT the router to make the change take effect. NOTE: VERY IMPORTANT!! We are picking the LAST set of digits in the IP address ONLY..! The FIRST THREE sets of digits MUST be the SAME as the ones the router and the DHCP server uses. Thus, if YOUR router uses 192.168.2.1, then you MUST pick a Static IP address that begins with 192.168.2 If YOUR router uses 10.0.0.1, then you MUST pick a Static IP address that begins with 10.0.0 Again- we’re ONLY changing the LAST set of digits. Now that you’ve decided on a compatible Static IP address to use for your computer, follow this link for a guide to setting up the IP address on your computer- However- SKIP the first few steps that tell you to look in IPCONFIG for the IP address, and just use the compatible IP address you've chosen with this guide. Skip ahead to the step (#5 in the Windows XP guide) that tells you to open the Control Panel and follow the instructions from there. http://portforward.com/networking/staticip.htm Once you've finished this procedure, the address you decided on, and configured in Windows TCP/IP Network Properties will be your "Static IP Address". Whenever anything asks for your computer's Static IP Address, this number is what it's asking for. NOTE- If your Internet connection stops working when you change Windows to a Static IP address, the reason usually is that you need to find out what your "DNS Server" addresses are. Static Internal IP Windows Tutorial

This will guide you to how to set up a static internal IP! Before you start you need to grab some useful information for later use: Step 1. Press Start , click Run. A small window will pop up. Type cmd on it and press enter. A black window will show, then type ipconfig /all and type enter. You may get various data. You must define which one is your real internet connection. On the image below you will see an example: Take note about the IP Address , Default Gateway and Subnet Mask values, you will need them later. Now, the beggining: Step 2. Double click your connection on the system tray then click on Properties. Step 3. Select TCP/IP Protocol and then Properties. Step 4. Now, mark Use the following IP address and Use the following DNS server addresses. Recover the values you got on the Step 5 , fill the fields with the information. For DNS, type in the Default Gateway Observation: in case the Default Gateway does not work as your DNS server (unresponsive internet), you will need to enter your router interface (by typing the Default Gateway into your browser; user and pass admin or blank) and find your DNS information under DHCP settings. Now you're done setting up a static internal IP! You can now forward your ports to it and be free of problems.

Unable to join LAN game

Unable to join LAN game So your friend or brother is hosting a game and you can’t join; what to do now? There is a really cool feature in Ghost++, introduced in version 9.x which allows people on same network to play together without any problem. This feature is called the “Admin Game” and was initially designed to do a completely different job. Fortunately for us, Admin Game also solves the joining LAN games problem. First, download and set up Ghost++ or GhostOne, you can find a simple guide to do that ( TO BE ADDED) After your ghost can enter eurobattle.net and host games normally , we will make a simple modification to the configuration to allow Admin games (and thus people on same LAN to enter). Edit the ghost.cfg to include this: ADMIN GAME CONFIGURATION # whether to create the admin game or not (see readme.txt for more information) admingame_create = 1 the port GHost++ will host the admin game on (this must be different from your bot_hostport) admingame_port = 6114 the admin game password admingame_password = xpam Note: You need to set admingame_port in ghost.cfg to the port you want to host the admin game on. It *must* be different from your bnet_hostport *and* from your Warcraft 3 port. bot_hostport = 6000 admingame_port = 6114 Enter Warcraft, Options > Game Play > Port should be different (default is 6112) Save the file and start ghost.exe GHost++ automatically hosts a Warcraft 3 game (the "Admin Game") and broadcasts it to the local network. 1.) Open Warcraft 3 and go to the LAN screen. After a few seconds you will see a game called "GHost++ Admin Game" appear. Join it. 2.) Use the password command to enter your Admin Game password (e.g. !password xpam). a.) If you enter the wrong password you will be kicked from the game and temporarily banned for 5 seconds. 3.) Use the map or load command to load a map. (e.g. !map dota6.73b) 4.) Use the priv/privby/pub/pubby commands to create a game. You should wait until it says "Battle.net game hosting succeeded" before continuing. (e.g. !pub AP/Eu/PROS) 5.) Leave the game and return to the LAN screen. After a few seconds you will see your newly created game appear. Join it. 6.) You are now ready to play. Your game has been created on battle.net. 7.) If you make a mistake and want to unhost the game you can use !unhost in either game (the Admin Game or your newly created game). We are aware that this feature is easily abusable, you can choose any nickname in place of yours. This is a warning, if you abuse this feature your IP will be PERMANENTLY Banned From Eurobattle.net. No Excuses. This guide and feature is to help you. DO NOT ABUSE IT. Unable to join own or LAN game (ADSL users) Hi guys, after few weeks of trying to solve problem of joining your own game, or game created by other machine in Local Area Network (LAN), I finally managed to get it to work. PLEASE NOTE: This solution maybe not work for you! These settings are usually for ADSL users! The solution for this problem is in general: 1.Turn your router/gateway in Pure Bridge mode 2. Enable PPPoE connection on all of your computers (You will need the username and password from your ISP) 3.Fix your firewall rules 4.Try to host public game, if everyone (from the internet) can join, then try to join your other machines on LAN This works for most of routers that doesn`t support NAT Loopback, but the settings about pure bridge mode, may be different, based on your router and it`s own firmware.
