GHostOne is a hosting tool for any Warcraft III map, based on GHost++ (command line version, without interface).

First of all, you need to be able to host, to host with GHost. If you are unable to host normally (without bot) you WON'T be able to host with GHost! So first make sure you first set up your hosting properly by taking a look on our guides/forums.

* Download GHostOne here ("with source" is for programmers only).

* Unpack/install it on any folder.

* Run GhostOne.exe on the folder you installed GHost.

* (Loopback) If you are using a router (like most of users), you may need to add a "Loopback adapter" in order to join your own games (first try without changing anything). Tutorial:Ghost Unjoinable own game for more info while doing it. Once you set up the Loopback adapter, rename the loopback connection on Start > Network Connections to simply "Loopback". That will allow GHost to detect your new IP every time it changes and update your loopback configurations automatically.

* Go into GHost Options > Main Configuration tab. The fields which should be filled are marked on the image below and are self-explicative on the program itself. Click Apply Changes once you are done.

http://e.imagehost.org/0183/1_52.jpg

Some notes:
* The user and password fields are your bot's account, not yours. You should create a different account for your bot to log in with. Your actual server account goes into "root admin" field.

* Use the folowing settings in ghost.cfg file.

* Hit Auto-Configure on the bottom. GHost should detect automatically your Warcraft III path and ports (those should be portforwarded). In case it doesn't correctly, those settings may be manually set on Ghost Options, Page 5 and 6.

http://e.imagehost.org/0709/2_21.jpg

* You are done!

Finally, go to the first program's tab, GHost, and press Run GHost. It should now connect to Eurobattle.net and watch for commands from the root admin.

What is StealthBot

StealthBot is one of the most popular moderation bots on the official servers. It completely emulates the Battle.Net Chat Server connection, meaning; A server will clearly think you're an official client.

It's written in Visual Basic v6, meaning it's for Windows only (Bypass is possible.) It's possible to extend StealthBot with Visual Basic Script-scripts to get advanced option and a broad enterprise of extra features.

Where to download?

You can download the release version Through This Link http://www.stealthbot.net/wiki/Download. (Develops version)

The other steps.
After installing make sure you do not start StealthBot.
Preparing StealthBot for PvPGN connection
Go to the StealthBot root folder
Open Default/scripts
Download this file http://www.mediafire.com/download/klekolotqjfsevh/PvPGN.rar (Right click -> Save source to your StealthBot/Default/scripts directory.)
Now you're able to connect to Eurobattle.net!
Advanced users (That's what they state)
Go to the StealthBot root folder
Create a folder called: WAR3
Go to the Warcraft root folder
Copy: war3.exe / Storm.dll / game.dll to the Stealthbot/WAR3 folder
Go to StealthBot/Default and create a file called: Config.ini
Open it and place the Spoiler-text in it and save it. (Note; Folder can need special access. Create it on your desktop then copy to your StealthBot/Default folder if it doesn't work.)
What is port forwarding and why do you need it?
Port forwarding (sometimes referred to as tunneling or virtual servers) is the act of forwarding a network port from one network node to another. Port forwarding allows remote computers (e.g. public machines on the Internet) to connect to a specific computer within a private LAN. So in order to host a game online, you must allow public computers on the internet to connect to your computer. If you don't port forward, all incoming connections to your PC will be refused and thus no one will be able to join your game.

2) Requirements
-Have you updated all of your video and sound card drivers?

If you need help doing this, I recomend taking a look on this tutorial:

This tutorial is designed to help customers troubleshoot video and/or sound problems associated with old or faulty drivers.

If you are planning on updating DirectX as well as the drivers for your sound and video hardware, we suggest installing the update for DirectX first, then the updates for your sound and video hardware.

Steps to identify your DirectX version:

1. Click on the Start button and select Run.
2. In the Open: field type in dxdiag and click the OK button.
3. When the DirectX Diagnostic Tool loads up you will see information about your computer. Near the bottom of the information should be the following field: DirectX Version: which will list what version you are currently running.
4. Check http://www.microsoft.com/directx/homeuser/downloads/default.asp for the latest version of DirectX and update if necessary*.

*Note: Make sure you have drivers for your sound and video hardware that support the version of DirectX you are going to install. If you are not sure the drivers support the version of DirectX you are going to install consult with the company that built the sound and video hardware for more information. If the hardware came with a computer you bought then contact the computer manufacturer. Check Blizzard list of hardware manufactures for contact information http://blizzard.com/support/?id=mgi02054p

Update:

Here is one good and helpful guide about fixing fatal errors in Warcraft III which I found on some forum:

This LONG guide of solutions should be able to fix your solutions. This will work with generally any 0x8E (Unhandled Exception) or 0xC4 error. How I know these will work? I have written this guide thru experience since my first computer suffered like this. I fixed it with a new PSU and DRAM Voltage, now it crashes from triggers . However, I have no assurance whatsoever that your problem will get worse, you decided to do this so do the advanced issues at your own risk .

-Bad Drivers
Update your video card when new drivers come out. Go to your manufacturer's website to download the latest. For ATI, its Catalyst. For nVidia it's Forceware. Just remember you need a 32 bit version of Windows XP or Vista or 2000 to operate these drivers properly. There are no real 64 Bit ones yet, and your drivers will fail to install on a 64 bit machine.

-Insufficient or Ineffective RAM
Get more RAM, make sure its of the right frequency so it doesnt lead to incompatibility. Eg. If you can support DDR 400, then get them both at DDR400 and have the same voltage. You will need to look at the sticker that comes on the RAM and break down the format to extract this information.

If you think it's a certian stick of RAM and you have more than 1, take out one, and run Warcraft III. Then repeat for your other RAM. If one stick is causing the crash, then replace it with one that works. If it's 1, then you will need to replace it. The best way to detect this problem is checking your crash logs and looking for the memory address that crashed. You can also install and run MemTest86 to find out which addresses aren't complying and which ones are.

-Motherboard Conflicts
This is one nasty mother ****er. You would need to either update your current drivers. Or even go as far as Flashing a new BIOS (requires reinstall and hopes that it doesnt crash in reinstallation). Or even to disect your computer and install a new motherboard (4-5 hrs. you dont want to do). This is a rare occurance, I have never seen a Motherboard conflict, unless you did something stupid like drop a magnet on it or broke a piece of it.

-PSU not strong enough (STRONG POSSIBILITY)
This is the most common problem that is often overlooked. It happened to me when I owned a JGE 300W PSU before I got it replaced. It wasn't passing enough volts through the 12V Line (15A). Open your case, and look at your PSU label for the 12V line(not colour, the AMPS). If the number is below 20-22A, then you need to get it replaced. Its not sending a powerful enough current through the motherboard to power everything! For watts, aim towards 450+ to your PSU. However, brand will determine how AWESOME it is. Get a well known name brand (Antec for example), otherwise the PSU could fry or explode if the parts are cheap or defective (we can't have that). Plus, some brands don't have good warranties, so you cannot get a proper replacement should anything happen to it.

-Your running 3D sound with a card that doesnt support it (makes a different error message)
This will make a different error message. Saying that the mp3 was failed to initialize. Users running a RealTek Audio chipset will have to turn off 3d sound to avoid this problem. If your sound card/chipset supports it, then you are safe and can turn it on. I recommend Sound Blaster Audigy or X-Fi to operate 3D Sound.

-You have anti-aliasing on (wc3 hates this feature, water.blp doesnt load right)
This was a bad issue back when ATI Catalyst was around 4.5-4.8. Anti-aliasing was always on and Warcraft III is a real prick when dealing with Anti-aliasing, mostly because the water models wouldnt be able to work properly. Find a way to turn it off, or install 4.10+ (anti-aliasing wasnt on default in those versions).

-You're running openGL (remove -opengl tag) from Properties
If you right click on your shortcut and select Properties, you'll find where your shortcut is running to. Look at the end of it, for the -openGL tag. This shouldn't be here. We live in a world of Direct3D now. The only purpose OpenGL servers is probably playing Unreal Tournament 1999 and Doom II, since these games actually looked better in OpenGL than Direct3D. Other games may not take OpenGL kindly.

-Virus (STRONG)
You could have a virus that is plaguing your system. You can run an anti-virus scan or reformat your hard disk. Reformating clears everything (requiring Windows reinstall) but you will have nuked the viruses. Use Norton (if you want a virus within itself) or AVG (it's free), Proxomitron or Spybot to keep these threats neutralized.

-Too Many programs running at once (STRONG)
Control Alt Delete > Close off any programs that you don't want running. To free up physical memory so your RAM doesn't overload and close Warcraft III. The only situation this is a problem is with programs that conflict with each other or if you blew your Virtual Memory cache (The portion of the Hard Drive that writes page files should you inflate your RAM).

-Models could be rendered incorrectly (updates and fixes, custom models)
Not really a common problem, was in DOTA!!! Some custom models may have not been done incorrectly and the game will crash. Not much you can do, update your game and use models that work properly for best effects.

-DRAM Voltage TOO LOW!!
Another problem, it requires you to tamper with your BIOS settings. Load up the BIOS the way would do it. Then find the option called DRAM Voltage (should be in Power Management). Set it to the maximum value. If your BIOS warns you about it being unsafe, just do it anyways. Be sure your PSU can take the heat.

-AGP Aperture Size
The value of this must be half of what your video card is (Eg. if its 256MB, then set Aperture to 128MB, and so on). If you use the full value, your card will stop working properly! By default, the Aperture of the card is usually set to Auto, which adjusts based on the card installed.

-Fast Writes and XAGP
My old Windows XP machine usually had this at 4x and Fast Writes on. If your computer can support it, go 8x and Fast Writes. However, your motherboard needs to have the feature. BIOS has an option called AGP Fast Writes within it, it must be enabled to work properly. Check your motherboard specs to make sure you know what the limits are.

-Overheating
If parts get too hot, they will stop functioning properly. Use better fans or cooling systems to operate these parts and keep them cooled. It can also help to open your case to regulate hot air. Just make sure you keep the open side away from your feet, your dog or whatever. I recommend you only open the case when you want to install new parts.

-Internal Engine issues:
This happens to me in The last Sylvannas mission and the older versions of DOTA. It could preform an operation that the system really hates. Wait until future versions of the map come, it could solve the problem about whats happening. For me, this also happens sometimes when I cast Storm, Earth and Fire in Melee or when I transition a hero unit to something like a bear or a storm crow (hero > unit or unit > hero by skill, not trigger). As patches go on, some of these bugs are corrected.

-CD Cracks (for you warez boys out there )
You most likely have a CD key or an illegal burned copy that needs libraries or certain files that would appreciate it if you had the real version. Do us all a favor and buy the REAL expansion, reinstall Wc3, and that should fix your problem.

If you decide to reinstall Wc3, keep your maps you want to keep in a seperate folder so you can copy them to the map folder later. The only reason you may want to reinstall is if you reformat your Hard Drive.

This problem has many solutions according to the thing that causes it, here are different things you can try:
1) Reset Warcraft
This works 99% of the time, download, unzip and run the reg file:

http://www.multiupload.nl/CU2II7RMD6

'2) Drivers'
Updated your NvIDIA drivers/VGA drivers, and your Sound Card drivers, also installed the latest DirectX.

'3) Damaged Game'
Uninstall the game / reinstall it from a different copy (your first copy is damaged)

'4) Hardware Configuration'
Adjust the sound hardware acceleration:
1. Click Start
2. Click Run
3. Type dxdiag and press the enter key
4. Click on the Sound tab
5. Move the hardware sound acceleration level slider bar to the far right and then one notch to the left so it reads standard acceleration
6. Click exit and try the game again

'5) Running warcraft using opengl mode'
1)right click on the shortcut you use to run warcraft
2)go to properties
3)change the target by adding -opengl to the end

example: "C:\Program Files\Warcraft III\Warcraft III.exe" -opengl

'6) Codec'
Some codecs may cause this problem (Divx codecs, NIMO CODEC PACK..) Uninstall them

'7) Moves Folder'
Some people solved this problem by simply deleting the Movies folder (C:\Program Files\Warcraft III\Movies) or renaming it to anything else, for example 'bla

'8) Compatibility Run'
right-click on shortcut
choose properties
choose compatibility-fan
click "run this program in compatibility mode for:"
choose "windows 2000" in the field beneath (the roll-down menu)

'9) Defective Memory'
Download a memory test from http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp#top
Your memory might be defective. After changing it the game runs without any problem.

'10) RAM/BIOS Issues'
Warning:' Be careful when doing these, you might mess up your whole PC.
- Manually adjust the RAM speed from BIOS. If it was on automatic, manually changed it to 2.5 CAS Latency ('Advice:' Contact your technical supporter about this, each PC might need a different RAM Latency).
- For those of you that have not been able to fix the error yet - you have to try changing your BIOS configuration to 100 or 110.
- Your RAM might be causing the problem, changing it might solve the problem, contact your technical supporter and ask his advice.
- Some people also solved this problem by adding more Virtual Memory.

Niceonehttp://wiki.eurobattle.net/index.php?title=Tutorial:Ventrilo&diff=540Tutorial:Ventrilo2012-07-01T17:56:36Z
Niceone:

Ventrilo

Here's a simple guide on how to connect to a ventrilo server. There is no fees, as some of you may think.

First of all, I want you to know that we are not using the latest version of ventrilo, for licensing reasons.

So? Let's start !

1.Download and unzip here: http://www.ventrilo.com/download.php . There is no need to install it, all the program is in one file. And if you have another version of ventrilo, there is no need to uninstall it.

2.After you unzip everything you open ventrilo.exe as shown in the picture below:

http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/2731/upicccccccccccccccccccccw2.jpg

Click on it.

You should get this if you have a newer version of ventrilo:

http://img234.imageshack.us/img234/6818/upiccccccccccccccccccccbx0.jpg

Just click No.

If you dont have any ventrilo program installed on your computer you should see something like this:

http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/7291/upiccccccccccccccccccccpd3.jpg

3.Click on the "->" infront of "Username:":

http://img175.imageshack.us/img175/5258/upiccccccccccccccccccccin7.jpg

Now you get this window:

http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/1631/upicccccccccccccccccccctr8.jpg

Put the username you want to appear to people and to identify your self. In the phonetic name put the name you want to people hear when you connect.

4.Now you need to connect to a server.

Click on the "->" in front of servers. In this window:

http://img384.imageshack.us/img384/5257/upiccccccccccccccccccccan0.jpg

Press on New put any name you desire and press Ok.

Put the same info as in the picture:

IP address: 150.254.70.99
Port number: 3784

And press Ok

No password is needed for this server.

Now that you've set up all ventrilo to be able to connect to our server, you can finally use it.

Just press on Connect and in couple of seconds you will be connected successfully.

If you have any problems related to this please post in the Technical Support section.

For more information, read http://www.ventrilo.com/about.php

Have fun :)

Note: If you are getting asked to update the version, when you open ventrilo.exe , you can solve it. Go to > Setup > Search for the tab called "Global" > Uncheck the box beside "Check for new version" > And press "Ok" - That's all !

Ventrilo on Linux

You can install Ventrilo under Wine very easily in Ubuntu Linux.

Here is how you can accomplish such a feat. so you can join your friends on a Vent server while gaming or whatever else you may use Ventrilo for.

First: Make sure you have the newest version of Wine setup and installed.

sudo apt-get install wine

Second:

Download Ventrilo for Windows (see Ventrilo above) and install it under Wine.

Third:

Now Vent at default requires the use of an audio codec called GSM 6.10, and from my own experience this codec/driver is not included in WINE right of the bat, so youll have to get the file msgsm32.acm

http://www.ventrilo.com/download.php

, unzip it and place this file in your system32 (/home/USER/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32) directory under Windows in WINE

Fourth: goto the Windows directory (should be /home/USER/.wine/drive_c/windows) and open the file named system.ini and place this line in it under the drivers32 section (for organization sake)

MSACM.msgsm610=msgsm32.acm

Voila! I hope this helps any of you having trouble with getting this working, also make sure to keep an eye out, the guys who develop Vent are working on a Linux client! Enjoy.

What is it for ?
This tool lets advance in a replay at a point X in time. Very useful when you need to check a maphacker for example.

Features

-You can change the speed of the replay from 1/32x to 31x or make it run "as fast as possible".
-You can specify the position in the replay that you want to reach, and ReplaySeeker will quickly fast-forward replay to that position, pausing the replay when done and playing a sound (to notify you). Note that this works while Warcraft is minimized, which allows you to do something else during the process (like browsing the forums).

Installation

Ventrilo

Here's a simple guide on how to connect to a ventrilo server. There is no fees, as some of you may think.

First of all, I want you to know that we are not using the latest version of ventrilo, for licensing reasons.

So? Let's start !

1.Download and unzip here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=6TXM7GQJ .

MSACM.msgsm610=msgsm32.acm

You will need to install the .NET Framework Version 2.0 Redistributable Package.

For x64 Windows: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=6523

For x86 Windows: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=19

You probably have that if you already have Gproxy.

For Vista/7 users: You might need to run the executable file as administrator. Right click and click on "Run As Administrator".

Download link: http://app2.eurobattle.net/download/index.php?id=139

This tool will allow you to check some stats and info about a DotA game without the need to open the replay in Warcraft 3.

What is it for ?
This tool will hide the console in Warcraft to make the rest of the screen more visible for screen capturing and/or video making.

http://app2.eurobattle.net/download/index.php?id=139
Download the file, unzip and run the .exe.

The program is self explanatory. Very easy to use.

Browse for your dota map and it will create an output file with the settings you chose. Play with this new map.

The readme.txt is there to give you a hand. It was made by the creators of this program.

You can download the release version here. (Develops version)

The other steps.
After installing make sure you do not start StealthBot.
Preparing StealthBot for PvPGN connection
Go to the StealthBot root folder
Open Default/scripts
Download this file (Right click -> Save source to your StealthBot/Default/scripts directory.)
Getting started

I am now going to show u how to install wc3banlist 3.0 and then patch it to wc3banlist 3.1 beta.

Firstly, download http://app2.eurobattle.net/download/index.php?id=92. It contains banlist 3.0 and 3.1.

Install Wc3Banlist 3.0 (I don't have to go into details of installing, i know you guys can handle a simple installation)

Now after u finish installing wc3banlist 3.0, extract Banlist 3.1 content in the winrar achieve to your wc3banlist directory. Overwrite when it ask you to confirm. The wc3banlist directory is located usually in C:\Program Files\WC3Banlist.

After u have succesfully extracted WC3Banlist 3.1 beta (build 210) to your wc3banlist directory, you have finished installing.

Country Checking

Launch Wc3banlist by clicking on its icon on your desktop.
It should look like this, regardless of different versions.

After u have successfully launch Wc3banlist, now launch THE FROZEN THRONE.
Connect to any BattleNet Server, join any game in BattleNet. Once u have joined a game it should look like this.

Type /fromall
Wait for 2s, then press and hold Ctrl on your keyboard, and then press v.

A list of people and their country in game will appear at your typing bar.

For example: confinists: (SG), toy016: (AU), pasu: (SG), vteckui: (TW), Alkhaleed: (SG), iNeverLied.: (JP), ryoDK: (SG), yontboy: (US).

Press enter on your keyboard and it will appear as chat for everyone in game to see.

Thats all for country checking!

Ping Checking

Launch Wc3banlist by clicking on its icon on your desktop.
It should look like this, regardless of different versions.

After u have successfully launch Wc3banlist, now launch THE FROZEN THRONE.
Connect to any BattleNet Server, join any game in BattleNet. Once u have joined a game it should look like this.

Type /Pingall
Wait for 2s, then press and hold Ctrl on your keyboard, and then press v.

A list of people and their Ping in game will appear at your typing bar.

For example: leO.5ePhiRotH: 16 ms, Sagittarius-Hgg: 22 ms, LiBrA.NooBBOB: 201 ms, 2times2: t/o, HaRd***BoyZ: t/o

Press enter on your keyboard and it will appear as chat for everyone in game to see.

Thats all for Ping checking!

Side note for Ping: Ping determines if a player will lag or not
By looking at a Ping number, the lower the better it is, For example 20 ms is better than 150 ms. Once someone has 50ms or above they might experience game stuttering or delay when moving units in game.

Banlisting leavers

When someone leaves during a game starting countdown or during game playing.

You can ban on your own banlist.
There is a few simple ways of banning people, and i am gona list 2 of it.

1st way is to immediately type "/banlast" when someone leaves. Wc3banlist will automatically ban the last leaver with a comment/keyword leaver.

2nd way is to type /ban [insert name here] [insert comment here]
For example: /ban SaMmM leaver

Custom comments

In wc3banlist, click on Preferences Tab and then click on Custom comments in the left side.

Click on the + button and type in Leaver in the box that pops up.

http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/1723/leaverkeywordhq6.jpg

After u have type leaver press ok.

Type this into the blank box beside the + and - button:
leaver after $gametime ($ratio) on $realm [($year-$month-$day)] - $gametitle

So now whenever u ban someone in game, with the command "/ban SaMmM leaver" or "/banlast"

Then SaMmM will be banned with the comment "SaMmM is a leaver after 00:14:35 (5v4*) on Lordaeron [(2007-02-17)] - dota sg ap! 5v5 net"

Of cause u can be creative and use custom comments for other uses, go figure it!

Auto refresher

In wc3banlist, click on the preferences tab and then click on miscellaneous on the left side.

Tick the checkbox "Enable automatic game refresh"

U can also set the interval for auto refreshing with the slider with a minimum of 10s and maximum of 60s.

Side note: Auto refresh only works for game host, and is only available for wc3banlist 3.1beta version.

Approved host and Global banning

When you play on Battle.net, many hosts and people threaten to ban u globally.
Its a empty threat, as only approved host can ban people globally.

Even if a approved host bans you, you are not actually globally banned!
People will have to download the approved host's bans to know that you are banned.

When you are banned by wc3banlist, only your username will be logged by the banlist. Your IP address will not be logged. So if someone says he is gona ban you by your IP, he is lying.

Here is a list of approved host:

(Image taken from www.banlist.nl)

I do not encourage leavers and sore losers, i hope nobody will become bigger losers and leavers after reading this section.
